My name is Lisa Burns, or Nurse Lisa.  I graduated from UT Arlington with a BSN degree in 1993.  I am a retired US Air Force nurse and have held varied nursing jobs over the past 26 years. I am so excited to be a member of the Union Park family, and a part of your child’s healthcare team.

 

My goals as a school nurse are: 

 

• To help your child achieve their optimal health by becoming aware of their bodies and the processes that happen when they are ill; empowering them thru age appropriate education of self care measures. 

• Encourage/teach children how to have open communication with all members of their healthcare team that can be utilized now and in their future.

• Keep healthy children in school and minimize their out of class time.
